In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Elon Musk has claimed his Neuralink company has successfully implanted one of its wireless brain chips in a human, and also said that “promising” brain activity had been detected after the procedure and the patient was “recovering well”.
埃隆·马斯克在社交平台X（前身为推特）上发帖，宣布其旗下的“神经连接”公司已成功将研制的无线大脑芯片植入人脑，并称术后已检测到“积极的”大脑活动，植入者“恢复良好”。
The company was given permission to test the chip on humans by the FDA in May 2023. That gave the green light for the start of the six-year study during which a robot is being used to surgically place 64 flexible threads, thinner than a human hair, on to a part of the brain that controls “movement intention”, according to Neuralink.

These threads allow the experimental implant – powered by a battery that can be charged wirelessly – to record and transmit brain signals wirelessly to an app that decodes how the person intends to move.

Mr Musk also said Neuralink’s first product would be called Telepathy, which could let those with paralysis control phones, computers and other devices just by thinking.

Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva received a four-year doping ban on Monday, effectively stripping the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) of its gold medal in the team event at the 2022 Beijing Winter Games nearly two years after the competition.
1月29日，俄罗斯花样滑冰运动员卡米拉·瓦利耶娃因兴奋剂问题被禁赛4年，俄罗斯奥委会在2022年北京冬奥会上获得的团体金牌因此被剥夺。
“Kamila Valieva is found to have committed an anti-doping rule violation and sanctioned with a four-year period of ineligibility commencing on 25 December 2021,” the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) said. The court added that all of Valieva’s competitive results achieved since that date are voided.

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) welcomed the decision, describing it as a victory for fair sport.

“I think for WADA and for clean sport, it means that after following due process a fair result to all athletes has been rendered by the Court of Arbitration for Sport,” WADA director general Olivier Niggli told Reuters. “Even though the process might be a bit tortuous, the end result has been and is to the satisfaction of the clean athletes.”
