China Quality Certification Center (CQC) has recently revised CQC11-461233-2009 "Electrical Device Switch Safety Certification Rules", involving business sub-category number: 003011.

The revised rules and implementation requirements are hereby notified as follows:

I. Main revisions to the implementation rules

1) The scope of application has been modified;

2)Certification mode 2 has been added;

3) The reference standards GB 16915.1-2003, GB/T 16915.3-2003 and GB/T 16915.4-2003 have been deleted;

4) The validity period of the certificate has been changed from "long-term validity" to 5 years, and review requirements have been added;

5) The certification mark has been changed to "CQC Basic Certification Mark", and the use of the certification mark has been changed from being allowed to being used to being required to be used;

6) Certification responsibilities and technical disputes and appeals clauses have been added;

7) The product deions of remote control switches and delay switches have been deleted.

II. Implementation requirements

1.From the date of this notice, CQC will accept applications and issue relevant standard certification certificates in accordance with the revised certification rules;

2. For issued certificates, the certification standards of the certificates will be converted in a natural transitional manner, such as product changes and renewal of certification certificates.
